9-Day Big 5 Africa Safari Tour (Budget)
Tour Summary
This is a private tour you starting off with Lake Manyara/Tarangire, before going on 3 nights of camping in the Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater. On the tour, you will be accompanied by a driver/guide and a safari chef. Enjoy game drives on a safari custom jeep with a pop-up roof. On day 0, we will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Later on, you will be briefed about the tour.

Day 1 : Pick Up from the Airport
We will pick you up from the airport & transfer you to karibu heritage house. A city sightseeing tour comes as part of the excursion for day 1. The city excursion will involve visiting the local markets, Maasai market, cultural heritage and Arusha city museum.
Day 2 : Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will go to Lake Manyara National Park famous for the large number of flamingoes in the lake and its tree-climbing lions (though they are rarely seen). We will do a game drive viewing plenty of birds. If you're lucky enough, you can spot these famous tree-climbing lions, and visit the hippo pool for a close look at hippos and the hot spring all this while doing a game drive and viewing plenty of animals (buffaloes, wildebeest, warthogs, vultures, eagles, monkeys, etc.).
we will continue with the game drive to the evening, experiencing the sunset in Tarangire national park

Day 3 : Tarangire early morning game
After an early breakfast you will start a sunrise game drive in the Tarangire, enjoying this beautiful park in the morning when it is less crowded & more wildlife activity around the late am you will exit the park & head to mto wa mbu where you will have lunch, relax & continue with a biking tour in mto wa mbu visiting waterfalls, banana & rice plantations before returning to fig big tree lodge for overningt.
Day 4 : Mto wa mbu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive from Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti which takes 6 hours (including all stops) as it transits through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Stop at: Ngorongoro Crater
Duration: 20 minutes
You'll make an optional (price not included) visit to a Maasai village and explore the culture of the great Maasai tribe. They are known for chasing lions off their kill, hunting lions to be considered a warrior, and drinking raw animal blood. Though these traditions are thing of the past with exception of drinking blood, you can surely learn something. Many clients opt against it. Duration: 20-45 minutes, Entrance is $USD10 – 20.
Serengeti National Park
Arrive late in the afternoon and do a game drive in Seronera (the center of Serengeti) until late in the evening.
Experience the sunset in Serengeti while having a close view of wild animals. If you're lucky enough, see a predator hunting or on a kill. Later, head to Seronera Campsite.
Day 5 : Serengeti National Park
On this day, you will go to the wider parts of the Serengeti south/east/west depending on wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, go on an early game drive. We will later have lunch and continue with the game drive till evening. Then return to the campsite for dinner and your overnight stay. Note: Animals can be spotted in campsites.

Day 6 : Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals till the afternoon when you will head to the camp for lunch and packing. Have a game drive while we exit the Serengeti heading to Simba Campsite (2 hours drive) near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Note: Animals can be spotted on campsites.

Day 8 : Kilimanjaro excursion
Be immersed in Tanzania’s great outdoors on this full-day tour to Materuni and Kikuletwa–ideal for adventure, cultural and active travelers in the region. Start off on a hike to Materuni Waterfalls and enjoy a refreshing dip. Next, head to a local farm to learn more about Tanzania’s coffee industry before finally unwinding in the Kikuletwa Hot Spring. Then after all that you will be driven back to Arusha for overnight.
Day 9 : Drop of the airport
After breakfast You will be dropped off at the airport.
